As of last Wednesday I departed from Oahu, HI and finally arrived at my destination of Austin, TX by the following afternoon, it only took 3 planes and reading an entire Chelsea Handler book. But arrive I did and the first people to greet me off the plane was my niece, sister, and brother-in-law! Best welcoming home committee ever! I arrived home to find that my mother has set up her trailer just for me so I can be comfortable during my six weeks stay here, and what’s even cooler is the name of the trailer: THE PROWLER!!! If you know me, you know how appropriate this is. It’s the cutest, most perfect little travel trailor for someone who’s only going to be here for a short amount of time with minimal guests so I’m really happy to get to stay in it. By that evening I had met up with my dearest boo, Casey. We then promptly drank some beers, rode down to the 04 to meet up with others and drink more. After that was done, we rode further to downtown to drink some delicious snake bites at Jackalope and then get our dance on to the Queen cover band, MAGNIFICO!!!!!
I personally have never seen a Queen cover band and was unsure of what I might expect, but MAGNIFICO was EPIC. I mean the singer was wearing a skin tight purple leotard, had side burns the size of trees, and was over 6’4” tall. And his balls were totally visible through his outfit and right at my eye level the entire show, so being the ball lover that I am, totally loved it. But he seriously channeled some Freddy Mercury during that show, I mean he had the entire persona and voice down to motherfuckin’ T. I was definitely not disappointed with having to pay to see a display such as that. After the show I was totally sleepy from all the beer and rode home with the company of Casey and we proceeded to pass out. That was just my first night!!!
Friday was a slumber party with Jill and we were supposed to go to my dashing young friend Ian’s potluck, but it just didn’t end up happening. I am almost positive though that he had a lot of fun eating and burning things without us so it’s ok. By Saturday I had to go and get ready for the winter ball put on by Blizzcon, the game company. My friend Sam took me as his date, and I must say he put on one good show. Everything about that evening was excellent. I was dressed up quite fancy which I like to do ocassionally, as well as Sam, who looked very dapper in his suit with his REAL British accent and snazzy mullet! Basically, I was in a hotel, surrounded by about 600 other nerds and their guests, all dressed up to the nines. The food was amazing and tasted outstanding, the drinks were strong and delicious, and I managed to win $28,000 in fake money at the gambling tables they’d set up. Overall, that night was a 100x better than my prom even though on both nights I didn’t get laid. But that’s cool too, cuz I’m a lady who’s saving herself for a lumberjack. Or Jesus, whoever I get to first. Then on Sunday I unpacked my clothes, cleaned the trailer up a bit, went grocery shopping, got stuff out of storage, and baby sat miss Novie. We went to the park, read a book, watched Rocko’s Modern Life, ate hot dogs with mac n’ cheese, then took a bath. We both had so much fun we ended up falling asleep at the same time. I then proceeded to ride to the Liberty Christmas party and hang out with Trevor, I also harassed a handsome bearded dude about “motor boating” his beard. Didn’t happen though, bummer.
So I would say that my first few days have been pretty fun and filled with lots of catching up and hugging. I’m happy to be home with my wonderful family and friends getting to hang out and ride bikes. Nothing feels better!! I even went on the full moon cruise last night and it was a blast! I got my wisdom teeht out this morning though and it’s a bit of a bummer, but it was only the upper ones and I’ll be feeling fine and dandy by Christmas. That was my update, I’ll post something next week about future adventures and scandals. Happy Holidays, weenies.
